THE PROBLEM WITH NEWFANGLED MEMBERSHIP MODELS

Membership models have evolved rapidly over the last 20 years and there are an enormous range of options now available. The biggest problem with many of the new models is that the members of most associations aren’t what I’d call “early adopters”. I’ve seen some models (that looked great on paper) crash and burn when the members revolted. If you don’t mind losing a few members that’s ok. The rest of us need to find a way to embrace new models (critical for long term survival) and take our current members on the journey.
